# ASR Memory (에사 AI · AI Soul Repository) > ASR is a hosted MCP memory server shared by many AI tools. Save a memory once (for example in ChatGPT or Claude) and any other connected MCP client — Claude, Codex, Gemini, Antigravity, Hermes — can search it and pick the work up. The original text is kept word for word, and every memory records which AI saved it and from which tool. Korean name: 에사. Also known as ASR Memory, 에사 AI, 에사 메모리. - MCP endpoint: https://asrmemory.com/mcp (MCP Streamable HTTP) - Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration — connect by signing in, no key to create. Tools that cannot open a sign-in screen use an API key. - Free tier: 1,000 memories per account. Searching, recall and export do not count toward the limit. - Official MCP Registry listing: com.asrmemory/asr - ChatGPT plugin directory: search “ASR” in ChatGPT plugins (https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6ab04a828f008191aa42326cccb047d4). The ChatGPT connection omits memory_export, memory_purge, secret_save and secret_get. - Operator: 주식회사 아이디오 (Republic of Korea). Contact: idoweddings@naver.com ## How it works - Storage: each memory keeps its original text (`content_raw`), an optional summary, one or more of 11 drawers (event, experience, emotion, thought, inspiration, work, lesson, promise, relation, identity, night), the speaker (`speaker_id`), the tool name, project and language (ko, en, ja, zh). - Search: a keyword axis (PostgreSQL full-text search with length normalization and prefix matching for Korean particles) and a vector axis (pgvector, text-embedding-3-small, 1536 dimensions) always run together and are fused with Reciprocal Rank Fusion (k=60). Results below a similarity floor of 0.35 are dropped, so unrelated questions return nothing rather than a guess. - Measured internally on 2026-09-21 (not a public benchmark; one person's 1,936 memories, 600 queries, limit=5): exact-word questions hit@5 97.5%; questions phrased differently from the original hit@5 58.0%; 111 of 200 unrelated questions returned nothing. - Mailbox between tools: `asr_send`, `asr_handoff`, `asr_inbox`, `asr_done` let one AI tool hand work to another. - Isolation: every account has its own memory space. Cross-account access tests (30) and a user-space isolation test run on every deployment; if any fails, the deployment stops. - Session restore: `session_restore` returns the steps for finding earlier Claude Code sessions on the same computer after switching Claude accounts or organizations (reads ~/.claude/projects locally, read only; transcript content is not sent to ASR). Hidden on ChatGPT, PlayMCP and claude.ai connections. - Deletion: `memory_delete` moves a memory to the trash (restorable with no time limit); `memory_purge` permanently deletes only on an explicit request. ## Tools (23) Read-only (10): memory_search, memory_card, memory_stats, memory_trash, memory_export, memory_recall_daily, promise_list, secret_get, wake_up, session_restore Write (13): memory_save, memory_retag, memory_delete, memory_restore, memory_purge, promise_start, promise_resolve, secret_save, asr_send, asr_handoff, asr_inbox, asr_done, asr_tidy ## Docs - [Docs (English)](https://asrmemory.com/en/docs.html): connecting Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Antigravity, Gemini, and key-based clients; the 23 tools; FAQ - [How it works (English)](https://asrmemory.com/en/how-it-works.html) - [Security & data (English)](https://asrmemory.com/en/trust.html): what is stored, what is sent to outside AI services (OpenRouter for embeddings, Google Gemini for classification), encryption scope - [Privacy policy (English)](https://asrmemory.com/en/privacy.html) ## Other languages - Korean: https://asrmemory.com/ · https://asrmemory.com/docs.html - Japanese: https://asrmemory.com/ja/ · https://asrmemory.com/ja/docs.html
